Intellectual Maturity

Intellectual maturity refers to activities that involve thinking, perceiving and problem solving activities. According to Pierre 2009, the development of intellectual maturity is a mechanical process unique to civilization and in tune with civilized organization. Primitive mind development was far more organic, in tune with nature.

According to Jay Prakash 2010, Intellectual maturity consists of better and greater use of language, the medium of communication. Maturation provides a state of readiness to understanding. Understanding is based on concepts. But the concepts of children generally change and grow with experience.

There are two sides such as the responsibility of the school and Piaget’s development stages.

The Responsibility of the school;

The further we get from the intellectual aspects of growth and development, however, the less certain we are that we are involved in activities that are the responsibility of the school. An area of ambiguity exists between the responsibility of the school to foster cognitive development and the responsibility of the community to provide service for children.
