Washington currently has two different extensions available:

Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) is a program that pays up to 53 additional weeks of unemployment benefits. Extended Benefits (EB) is a program that pays up to 20 additional weeks of unemployment benefits.

Extended Benefits (EB)

The U.S. Department of Labor notified the state Employment Security Department that Washington qualifies for state extended benefits as a result of a rising unemployment rate. This state extended benefits program is different from the federally-funded Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) program approved by Congress in 2008.
